Use Visualization to Get What you Want

 I have learned that writing down your goals is not always enough.

Most of us have heard about writing down our goals to get what we want.  But I have learned that while this is important and effective sometimes some goals take more. Read further to find out how to visualize your goals to get what you want.

The practice of visualization is nothing new.  Its been around for a long time.  I first learned about it several years ago and have used the basic principle of visualizing my goals to get what I want.  For instance, before and during my interview process for my current job I used a combination of prayer, meditation and visualization.  And guess what?  I got the job!

Here are some tips to help you get what you want by using visualization:

I am not the type of person that sits indian style to meditate but I do take time out to quiet my mind and get centered.  This is the best time to take a "snapshot"  of your goals and "see" them happening.  Some people see actual "movies" play out in their minds when visualizing sort of like a daydream.  And some get a vivid picture of their goals through words by creating a "picture story" of what they want.  This is a good method to use because you can write the story down in a journal and then go back to it during your quiet time sessions for reference.  And yet others visualize through creating drawings or cutting out pictures in magazines and creating a "vision board" or notebook.

Use the method that works best for you and try your best to be consistant.  To me a good schedule to follow for visualization is in he morning and at night before you go to bed.
